About Me

I am the highway
and a peregrine
and all the sails that ever went out to sea

I love the definition of Peregrine.

per·e·grine (per-ə-grən)

adj.
1. Roving or wandering; migratory.

I have always been one to wander. I prefer to travel, and not stay in one place for too long. Friends and family along the way dubbed my lifestyle as "nomadic". I also love the ocean something fierce. Anything that has to do with the ocean for that matter- so thus about 4 years ago the term Nautical Nomad was born. I had to wait about two years for the domain to be mine as it was previously owned by a woman in Canada. I stalked it for those years, and learned about the process of an expired domain and what the steps were in order to obtain it. I didn't want to show any desire for it in fear that she would not let it expire, so after the long drawn out process- it finally became mine in summer of 2013. I was so happy and excited when I got it, but it had also been so long since my initial idea, that I just wanted to breathe a sigh of relief for a while. I sat on it for about 8 months without doing a single thing.  Finally in Spring of 2014 I started the process of creating the blog, doing most everything myself learning step by step via youtube and forums. Although frustrating at times, it was a fun and creative process and I am SO glad it finally has life to it!

Accountant by weekday and Wedding Photographer by weekend, I plan to use this space to document not only my nomadic ways and love of the ocean, but also fashion, food, and most importantly photography. I am always down for an adventure and tend to live by the motto "normal is boring." Those closest to me know I can be pretty weird, but I feel it's a good weird. I try and make the best of every situation and am always looking to take the path less traveled. I have a deep passion and zest for life and living every day to it's fullest. I think my humor and quirks and excitement make me unique and I am so glad for the friends and family I have that love and support me on a daily basis. I don't exactly know where I'll be a year from now, or five years from now, but I hope that wherever I am I am happy, healthy, and living a life I have always dreamed of.... by the ocean of course!

Thank you for taking the time to read and follow along, I really appreciate it.

The ocean is calling and I must go...
